Pizza is my favorite meal and the pizza here is very good. Others in my group got non-pizza dishes and they said they were good. Personally, I've been thinking about going back for more pizza since the night we were there. The service was excellent. Our waitress was super nice and considerate. The ambiance is somewhere between intimate and tavern style. It's a bit loud, but it wasn't like a bar or brewery or something like that.

I came here today with my friends. We were greeted by the host and then brought to our table. We had a sight misunderstanding since there was 4 adults and one baby. The table was set up for 3 adults and one baby. When we asked for a new table, they pushed another table to make it a table of 6. So they were very accommodating to our needs. The menu is very clear to understand and all the ingredients are listed. My group decided to go with one salad, two pizza, and one pasta. It was the perfect amount for us. We went with the chopped salad, the 'nudja and the charred pepperoni. For the pasta, we decided on truffle fondue cappellacci and added chicken. All the food was delightful and we finished every bite. The freshness of the salad, the charred and sweet taste of the pepperoni pizza paired so well with the savory truffle fondue pasta. Our waitress made sure to stop by our table to see if everything was alright and also made sure our table had sufficient water. This is a great place for lunch/dinner. They have enough room for large groups as well. We also had a little surprise as we were celebrating our friend's birthday. They bought out a mini vanilla gelato with a piece of pistachio bread! Very delicious!

A very nice place - in conjunction with Coopers Hawk, welcomes you with open arms. Went in on a Thursday, middle of the afternoon, it was mildly crowded, I had no reservation, they seated me PDQ! I tried a simple plate - eggplant parm. Little did I expect it would be eggplant parm on flavor steroids - When I die, IF I go to heaven, they will be serving this there. This was the 'beta test' for a Saturday reservation for my sisters birthday. My sister, and her friend who happens to be Italian, asked the waitress for bread and to our surprise answered '...no bread...' Ooooh, an Italian restaurant with no bread...mmm, not so good. Suggestion to management for improvement here - get bread, pronto! Especially since the 'regular' Coopers Hawk serves awesome bread The crostada for dessert was universally praised, their Chianti was great, and my take home bottle of Lux Cab was well received by the intended recipient, Final point - my espresso, I give it an 8 out of 10, and that is a super good rating if I do say so myself. An overall pleasurable experience - located in the OakBrook mall, near CD Peacock. p.s. beware of the many 'parking challenged' people that mysteriously appear, during peak days and times near this venue. Ask me how I know.

Good food, good service, and great wine. It's great to be able to use your wine if you are a member of Coopers with your meal.

I recently had the opportunity to dine at this restaurant, and it was an experience worth the wait. The food here is nothing short of exceptional--each dish was so flavorful that I found myself savoring every bite. The portion sizes, while on the smaller side, left me wanting more, which is a testament to just how delicious everything was. The service was impressively quick, ensuring that I never had to wait long for my meal. The atmosphere was relaxing and casual. The menu offers a well-curated selection of both food and wine, making it easy to find something that suits your taste. Plus, the restaurant's location in the mall is incredibly convenient, making it a perfect spot to stop by whether you're out shopping or just in the mood for a great meal. Overall, I highly recommend giving this place a try--you won't be disappointed!

Really enjoyed the pizza at Piccolo Buco! We shared the 'Njuda and it was delicious. I added a glass of Coopers Hawk white (and ended up buying a bottle). Service was excellent even though the cook times were slow. Great place for a tasty lunch or dinner after a day of shopping.

My wife and I decided to try this place on a whim after driving home from the city. She is a fan of Coopers Hawk and she loves "authentic" pizza. We have never been to Italy and our best experience was Eataly so we don't know what is true pizza The location was easy to find. It is part of Oakbrook mall. Parking at this mall can be difficult at times but they typically have lots of parking spots and garages. But you might have to walk around. We walked inside and it reminded us of Cooper Hawk with a wine bar right upon entering. We walked to the hostess booth and waiting for a table. We arrived during Happy Hour so it was a little busy but not packed. Pizzas were $12 instead of the average 18-20 or so. The menu is a little small and simple. The atmosphere was a little relaxing. Not a place where you want to eat on the rush. It's a laid back and enjoy your meal and company For an appetizer, we ordered the crispy stuffed squash blossom. It was interesting to see squash blossoms on the menu since I rarely find it. It was good. Not my favorite but my wife loved it. We ordered the Yellow Tomato Bisque for my daughter as her meal. It was delicious and well flavored. And this is coming from someone who was known for his soups when he was a chef (aka: me) I ordered the Spicy Calabrian Sausage pizza. It was okay... was not my favorite. The dough was delicious but the middle of the pizza was a soggy mess. I could not pick it up to eat nor could I eat it cleanly with a knife and fork Service was friendly. Food was good and fresh. Price was reasonable given the location and happy hour. Overall, I would give this place another try with a different pizza.

We came by for dinner after an event on a Wednesday afternoon. When we walked in, we were told they were out of pizza dough before we were seated and decided to stay and enjoy dinner anyways as we were looking at the pastas. As we were seated we were greeted by Brian who was our server for the evening. He was a delight from beginning to end, making recommendations, promptly getting us things as he helped all of his other tables going in and out. We started with the squash blossoms and the arinchini both of which were great. I will say for the size of the squash blossom I did wish that there was more filling in them, but it was night and crispy and full of flavor. We also got the ceasar salad that tasted grilled and left in wedges. The presentation was stunning and with the dressing it was great. For our entrees my husband got the paradelle short rib bolognes, and it was delish! I ended up with the truffle tortilini and had no regrets either. The past was cook great and the flavors were all present. I think the only downside of our experience was that it seemed as they were running out of a lot of things. From beer to dishes, to pizza dough of which was a good chuck of their menu. But overall we had a great time! P.s if you're a wine member you can totally claim a bottle to enjoy with your meal. We tried to give Brian our number in the account but not sure what happened there. We were able to claim some bottles after dinner to bring home to enjoy though.

Returned a second time. Definitely an improvement!! Food was very good. Front greeter and wait staff provided great service.

Loved coming here for lunch on a Monday. Even through a staffing crisis, the restaurant was able to properly function and serve my family and I. Piccolo is an authentic Italian restaurant and everything is made from scratch. I ordered the Yellow tomato bisque, Fungo pizza and the seasonal house made crostada (apple was this season's pick). Oh. My. gosh. The breading on the pizza was perfect. Super dippable in the bisque (which I did) and seasoned. I liked the mesh of the truffle and mushroom. The pizza also wasn't too greasy. I left full and satisfied. The bisque is a dish you'd want if you're sick or just want to warm you up. Very tasty and light on the tongue. I'd get all of my items again should I return or be asked for a recommendation.
